BUSINESS HAS ALWAYS LEAD URBAN FORM A SYDNEY PERSPECTIVE
ACTIVE TRANSPORT DESIGN CLASSIFICATION
This is part of our latest (March 2014) ongoing research - watch this space.
SOCIAL CONNECTIONS
The conflict between regional users, often seen as the economic backbone, but more often in practice daily traffic, negatively impacting on the life style of local residents. We are looking at these social networks for pedestrians, bikes and buggies; reintroducing them into existing towns and outlining the structure of local movement for new settlements.
LOCAL ACCESSIBILITY
The backbone of our current research is measuring the impact to residents of a regular regional public transport network (in Sydney). Would it be economic, would it provide access to more jobs, would it reduce car journeys?
METROPOLITAN INFRASTRUCTURE
The need to optimise infrastructure costs, spreading the benefits and fitting into a complete vision of the future, something that is not being done well at the moment.
ENGINEERING TECHNIQUES
Having written a number of design guideline there is always the desire to search a little further, in speed control, platoon management, based on early research in traffic flow, safety in residential area and traffic generation.
CULTURAL DIRECTION
How often does one cultural solution be applied to other cultures? Social Networks relating (or not) to regional networks, place making relating to how people meet, street design reflecting climate and a vision of community.
SYDNEY INTEGRATED TRANSPORT STRATEGY
Yes we still upgrade our vision for Sydney based on projected growth in the population, economy and expectation. Balancing the budget the opportunities and the demands.
